If you’ve been keeping up with Angel House happenings, you know we recently sent both Steeve and Gabriel home with their adoptive families. We were overjoyed for them, but to be honest, we’ve been missing them quite a lot.
And then… we met Edson.
This adorable toddler was left in the care of his mother’s acquaintance—one of our own loving Angel House nannies. She cared for him for two full weeks before realizing his mother was not coming back. Knowing exactly what to do, she went to IBESR (Institut du Bien-Être Social et de Recherches), Haiti’s child protection agency, for guidance. After investigating the situation, they asked that Angel House care for Edson while they continue their search for his mother.
So, how long will Edson be with us?
We don’t know yet. But we do know this: every moment he is here, he will be deeply loved and well cared for. He’s already captured our hearts, as well as the hearts of the other children, who are thrilled to dote on their new baby brother. Edson, for his part, seems to be enjoying every bit of the extra attention.
How can you help?
Edson needs Orphan Care Sponsors. Right now, he doesn’t have any, and it takes about 10 sponsors to fully support a child at Angel House.
Would you consider becoming one of the first?
As an Orphan Care Sponsor, you’ll receive monthly updates and photos—and we have a feeling this sweet little face will bring a lot of joy to your days!
