Kesnel Goes Home

We believe that every child deserves a forever family. That is why we are thrilled to announce that Kesnel finally went home with his last week! We are incredibly grateful for our sponsors, as are Kesnel's parents. They wrote a personal thank you letter to sponsors, an excerpt of which is below.

Leaving is always a mix of emotions for everyone. Kesnel's family arrived and slowly integrated themselves into his daily life, taking cues from his nanny, Christine. She filled them in on his routines like bath time, how he brushes his teeth, bedtime, etc. This is really helpful with transitioning from a nanny that he loves and is clearly bonded with. Over the following days, Kesnel joined his family over at the Guest House for meals, then naps, and then eventually spending the night with them.

Kesnel took a few souvenirs with him: the photo pillow of his family, his preschool uniform with his name stitched on it, and lots of hugs and kisses. When the time came, Kesnel was excited to leave and promised to send his nannies new sandals and cards. His preschool teacher, SoSo, came by to also say goodbye. The other children cried, especially Kesnel's "brothers", Daniel and Lensey. The orphanage staff has shared that the leaving was very difficult on the boys. Please pray for them.
