A Season for Love

Christmas is a time of year when we all especially long to love and feel loved. Perhaps it’s because that’s exactly what Christmas is all about: when God gifted the embodiment of Love to mankind in the form of baby Jesus.

In John 13:24, Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another…” But love is more than simply a feeling; it is when one person believes in another person and demonstrates that with their actions.

You all did just that, and we are so grateful.

There’s no denying that the last couple of years have been tough. For these children, their families, and all of Haiti, that “tough” has been off the charts. In addition to the pandemic and everything that comes along with that, they’ve experienced massive violent protests, sharp increases in crimes, the assassination of their president, inflation, and severe shortages of resources, including water. These challenges have repeatedly kept our students at home, at times for extended periods, because it wasn’t safe to come to school. We were not sure what would happen when Christmastime came.

But you did not forget these children. You never stopped believing in them, and you made sure they know they are loved.

Thanks to you and others like you, EVERY child at Three Angels Christian Academy got a complete Christmas dinner to share with their entire family! At a time when even basic necessities like water are scarce, a full, hot meal means more than most of us can imagine.

Please enjoy these images from our school party and Christmas Dinner Event (December 21) and know what a huge blessing you are to everyone pictured (and to many of us not pictured as well.)
